- Details of Event
- Deceased and another worked in a stall 13.5 feet wide, which had been holed about halfway across its width. A sprag was said to have been set and drawn, and as the coal did not come down deceased proceeded to stamp a hole for a wedge. The coal then came away suddenly from two slips; one of which was visible before the accident. Deceased was killed and his mate seriously injured.
