- Details of Event
- Deceased was in charge of a journey of 14 empty trams being drawn along the six feet engine-plane. When near the parting the engineman stopped the journey for deceased to go from the back end to the front. Deceased gave a signal for the journey to be drawn in, but he did not give a signal to stop it. The engineman stopped it without and, not receiving a signal for half an hour he and another man went in to see what the reason was. They found deceased pinned between the front tram and the tail-rope pulley. It looked as if he had attempted to unhitch the rope without stopping the journey.
