22 July 1915: Bellshill – Pit Fatality – Esider Lapinsky, 57, a Polish miner, Globe Street, Bellshill, met with a fatal accident on Thursday while engaged at his usual employment within No.4 Pit, Hattonrigg, owned by the Summerlee Iron & Steel Company.
