Details of Event
The deceased was assisting several other men to move railway wagons towards the screens. The wagons were difficult to move owing to the frost, and the morning being very foggy, the foreman cautioned the men to be careful and keep from between the buffers. Shortly afterwards, deceased was found lying on the ground, unconscious, and severely crushed, several of his ribs being fractured. He died on the same day. The marks on the body indicated that he had been trapped between waggon buffers.
