The deceased was on his way to his working place, but had stopped to rest at the foot of a short incline. A journey of six tubs attached to the hauling rope was being lowered round a curve at top of incliue, one of the couplings became detatched and four tubs ran away and jumped the rails at the bottom. Deceased had been warned that the tubs were coming but he neglected to move, and the tubs struck him and caused suck severe injuries that he died early on the following day.
