- Details of Event
- Fall of roof in working place from between two slips both to be seen before fall. The face slip continued in the coal and deceased had worked the coal from the slip. The fall 6 yards long by 3 yards in width at one end at least one prop ought to have been set. It was stated that a prop would have been set had there been one of sufficient length. The drawer had informed deceased that all the props at the shunt were too short although amongst them were several longer ones showing a want of order in placing the props of different lengths. (Average roof).
