Details of Event
He was working on a ledge about 100 feet from the base of a chalk pit with another man, they had one rope between them. Deceased stepped down on to a small ledge to push off some chalk when a small quantity fell against the back of his legs and knocked him over. The rope being four yards from him was useless as regards his safety.
