He was lowering a full wagon with the brake to some others in a siding and when it collided with these a piece of coal weighing about 14lbs. fell off the top of the wagon on to his head and cut it slightly. No danger was apprehended but blood poisoning set in and he died of Toxæmia on the 27th.
