- Details of Event
- Injured by a blow on the forehead from a hammer used by a fellow workman for setting a tree. He worked afterwards and did not report he was injured. On the 9th May he went a doctor and was then suffering from giddiness. He worked afterwards not regularly and on the 27th June and 2nd July he had paralytic strokes and died on the 7th July, 1901. The doctor who attended him was of opinion that the cause of the paralytic seizure was a blow and at the inquest the jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
