      - Details of Event
- Deceased, assisted by another worker during the strike, was widening a split from 8 feet to 16 feet for the purpose of putting in side walls and girders. While occupied at a buttock a bump occurred and deceased was fatally injured by a fall of bind from above the coal at the road side. Had he stepped forward instead of backwards the fatality would not have occurred. The fall exposed a slip which could not be seen beforehand.
