14 January 1932: Miner Killed at Bathgate - Robert Kerr (54), miner, Paulville, Bathgate, lost his life in an accident which occurred in Euston Pit, Bathgate, belonging to Wm. Baird & Co. (Ltd.) He was crushed by a fall from the roof, and succumbed to his injuries shortly after being brought to the surface. He is survived by a widow and a family of four. [Scotsman 16 January 1932]
