He was lowering four full wagons on the sidings and had pinned down two brakes, but owing to the wet state of the rails and brake blocks he lost control of the wagons. He was running round to put down the other two brakes when he was caught and run over by the wagons. Had there been brakes on both sides of the wagons the accident would not have happened.
