Some large blocks of rock, dislodged from the face on the previous day rested, on a ledge about 30 feet from the bottom of the quarry. Deceased and a comrade, who were engaged pinching one of these blocks towards the edge, apparently disturbed one of the others, about 2 tons in weights, which toppled over on him and caused his death.
