- 19 June 1919: Addiewell – Accident At Loganlea Colliery – By a fall from the roof at Loganlea Pit on Thursday a workman named Daniel Kelly, 21, was severely crushed about the chest. He was attended to by Dr J Young, and removed to his home in Cross Street, Addiewell, where he lies in a critical condition. [Hamilton Advertiser 21 June 1919]
