- Details of Event
- Deceased and another man were boring a hole on a ledge 55ft. up the quarry, when a stone 4.5 ft. by 3 ft. by 3 ft. thick fell off the vertical face, and killed him. The foreman had examined the place two hours previously and considered it safe. After four days of heavy frost a thaw had set in that day which I think caused the stone to fall.
