Falls in Mine (b) Falls of Roof – While deceased was throwing machine-cut coal towards the roadhead a stone fell away from a lype in the roof between the supports and the coal face, causing a simple fracture of the left thigh. He was removed to the Infirmary where he died under the influence of an anæsthetic five days later.
