Fall of side on road while repairing. He worked with a timberman, and was filling stones when a stone 3ft by 2ft 4ins. by 2ft. in thickness fell upon him from the high side of the roadway. It appeared that a shot had been fired at the place two hours before the accident occurred, and it is probable that the concussion and an old pressure break in the side assisted to release the stone. He died from shock, his injuries being a fractured pelvis and internal mischief. Nine feet Anthracite. Safety lamps.
