A piece of roof bind about 8ft. long, 2ft. wide, and 7ins. tapering to 2ins. thick fell upon deceased's neck while he was working at the face of the Five Feet seam. He was injured internally and died the following day. The piece broke off at a face break at the thick side and tapered out to the coal face. A row of foresets had been set but the piece came off along the edge of the lids.
