Deceased was taking his horse to the stable and when within about 30yds of it, was knocked down by an outgoing journey and fatally injured. He could see that the main rope was in motion and I cannot understand why he did not get out of the way. The horse turned and ran back in front of the journey, and was uninjured. The roadway was of ample dimensions and was provided with sufficient manholes, opposite to one of which deceased was found.
