- At face cliff, 12ft. by 4ft 9ins. by 18 ins.thick, fell as deceased was cutting coal. The fireman told him to put up two or three props, to make the place safe until sufficient coal could be worked off to enable flats to be put up. Instead of doing so, he worked at the coal until be was killed. Had he obeyed orders, the accident would probably have been prevented. Red seam.
