At face, coal, 27ft. by 3ft. by 2ft. thick fell on deceased killing him and injuring two other men. This top coal from under which the bottom coal had been worked had been supported by four sprags and four props. When the sprags supporting 18 feet of the coal were knocked Out to get the coal down the whole length fell crushing the four props roof exposed, unpropped, while the coal is being filled away.
