- Details of Event
- Fall of roof at face cliff 6ft by 3ft. by 27ins thick. Deceased was turning a stall off a heading on which 27 ins of roof been ripped. As he worked the coal away he set up prop under the roof but did not set sprags against the edge created by the ripping consequently the stone balanced the props and fell on deceased. Turning stalls off a bend in which the roof has been ripped is always attended with great danger as the roof has one side free therefore care should be taken to sprag it. Six feet seam.
