Deceased was assisting a fireman to set additional roof supports in a jig in the Ten Feet seam (inclination 1 in 2.75). While deceased was clearing debris off the floor preparatory to setting a prop, a heavy "goth" occurred without previous warning, and immediately about 20 tons of ground fell from the roof and killed him.
