Deceased was killed by a runaway empty tram at the foot of a gradient of 6ins. per yard. The tram had been attached to the endless rope by two clips, one of which was afterwards found on the gradient. The other was found, in a damaged condition, still attached to the tram. The clips could not have been securely fastened to the rope.
