Details of Event
Deceased was working on a ledge 11 feet from the ground. He had thrown a quantity of stone down and was making his way down to fill it in to a tram when he missed his footing and fell to the bottom of the quarry. Chains were available for ascending or descending but unfortunately, deceased did not make use of them. He died on 19th January, 1904.
