Deceased and another man were boring a hole for a shot when an explosion occurred injuring them both. Jones died 30th September from shock. It seemed that a portion or the whole of an unexploded charge must have been in the ground and was bored into by these men. Nothing had been done at the spot for some months it was said. Ammonite was the explosive in use.
