Deceased was re timbering a double parting at a place where there was a considerable vacancy above the timbers. While poking with a long bar to start a run of the packed rubbish off the old timbers. a large fall occurred. Four pairs of heavy timber were knocked out, and deceased was buried by a fall of 50 tons of rubbish, most of which had been packed on top of the timbers.
