Deceased was attempting to lower a full tub of coal down a roadway dipping 1 in 12, towards four full tubs standing 10 feet lower down the brow when he was accidentally crushed between the tubs. Instead of using scotches provided for the purpose, be appears to have lifted the iron back stay, and was unable to drop it before he was crushed between the tubs. He died on April 4th, from the effects of the injuries.
