Several boys were playing in a waggon with side doors owned by the Furness Railway Company which was standing in a siding at a pit called Kells pit not far from the Croft pit. The side doors were left securely fastened but some of the boys withdrew the pins holding me of them up and it fell and caught deceased on the head.
