- He had raised various stones out of the quarry, with the steam crane, and placed them on a bogey; he then placed a wedge under some of the stones to steady them and while doing so a flag five inches thick, which was overhanging the front of the bogey about three feet, broke off at a concealed flaw, and another flag, about six inches in thickness and three feet square resting on the over-hanging portion, slipped off and dropped across his neck and killed him instantly.
