- Details of Event
- Some full tubs got fast in the side of an endless rope haulage road and deceased knocked off the clam, thereby releasing the rope which struck him in the mouth. He died on the 19th December, from an abscess on the brain caused by the blow. The actual date of the accident is unknown as deceased did not report it at the time and worked afterwards for several months.
