Details of Event
Fall of roof at working face. While pulling down a piece of clod a small stone fell from roof and struck his wrist. He died from septic poisoning on 21st December. The evidence in the case was not satisfactory but the jury returned a verdict that death was due to blood poisoning, the result of a blow received at the colliery.
