Fall on road. Deceased was examining a newly laid parting when a piece of rock 2 feet by 1.5 feet by 8 inches thick fell on his hip from the roof. He was treated locally for dislocation until Sept. 20th, when he was taken to Cardiff Infirmary. Attempts were made to reduce dislocation, but, as he was in a very weak state when admitted, an operation was not attempted until Oct. 23rd. During the operation it was discovered that the neck of the thigh bone was fractured. He died from shock on the same day.
