Deceased was engaged in cleaning up a jig in the Cockshead seam, when a large area of clod about 10ft by 9ft. 6ins. and 14ins. at its thickest part fell upon him from a slip running across the jig and two breaks running up either side. Generally when it is required to take down this clod for ripping, blasting is necessary.
