- Details of Event
- Died from injuries received on December 28th last. He was passing along the footplate of a locomotive when he slipped, and his shin was scraped against the top step causing a bruised wound. Little was thought of the injury, but blood poisoning set in and he died. The handkerchief was a red one and dirty, and the blood poisoning was probably set up by it.
