Details of Event
Died 27th September. He was engaged in whitewashing the fitting shops. A substantial platform had been fixed 18 feet from the floor and a sheet slung to catch dust sod splashes. He foolishly placed his whole weight upon the sheet to see if it had been properly fixed. The ropes gave way and he fell to the ground and was fatally injured.
