6 September 1937: Fife Miner's Death - William Hynd, miner, 40 Rintoul Avenue, Blairhall, died in Dunfermline and West Fife Hospital yesterday from the effects of injuries which he received early in the morning in the Coltness Iron Company's Blairhall Colliery. He was engaged at the face in the five foot seam when there was a fall of coal, which caught him before he had time to make his escape. He was 25 years of age and unmarried.
