Fall of roof. William Hutton (30), a Brusher, who resided at 23 McGowan Row, Cowie, died in Stirling Royal Infirmary on Sunday as the result of injuries he sustained in an accident at Fallin Colliery on Monday (26 August 1931). Hutton was injured by a fall from the roof. No serious consequences were anticipated at the time, but Hutton apparently had a relapse. (Stirling Journal).
