Deceased was late for his work, and, apparently in his hurry to cross the carriage way at his bench he allowed his lamp to fall and it went on to roadway; he made an attempt to get it and slipped on the steep and before recovering himself the carriage ascending caught him and he rolled down to the bottom, a distance of 160 ft. He died a week later.
