- Details of Event
- In a disused midway was striking with a short hammer a prop under a bar; when the prop was loosened a large stone freed by a pronounced slip crushed down the bar and came over one he stood under. He was alone and had no prop drawing appliance with him It is said that he was ordered not to draw the timbers but to prepare for so doing by taking out the rails, loose prop &c. Am afraid he had frequently done this to get forward with the work. (Good roof).
