Stone about 15 cwt being lowered by steam crane of the dressing floor deceased stood to land the stone the engineman lost control he was lowering by break alone the break strap was wet no cover to keep off rain. The stone crashed down on the man who had not got out of the way in time. At time of inspection a similar stone was lowered by brake only the driver could not control it the stone descended in 1.5 seconds with a bump on the ground.
