- 15 July 1915: Caught By A Fall of Coal - George Hunter (29) brusher, residing at Hynd Buildings, Lower Oakfield, Kelty and employed on the Lochty section of No.4 Lindsay Pits, was on Thursday caught by a fall of coal from the face. He was knocked to the pavement and his left thigh fractured and badly bruised. After being attended by Dr Keay, he was removed to D. and W. Fife Hospital. [Dunfermline Journal 17 July 1915]
