Details of Event
A stone which had been loosened by a shot in the upper part of the quarry and which was being thrown down the sloped face, appears to have taken an unexpected course and struck him on the head as he was stooping to pick up a plank. I had been at the quarry a few weeks before and cautioned the manager on this point.
