Deceased was engaged in laying a roadway under the front of the ripping, when a small stone, about the size of a hand, fell from between the roof timbers and struck his head, causing a small cut. He went home, but continued work the next day, and for about a fortnight. He was taken to the infirmary on 16th November and died there on the 19th November. Death was due to an abscess between the coverings of the brain, caused by the injury received.
