Deceased was supposed to be oiling a haulage sheaf when he was run over and killed by a journey. No one saw the accident, but, as he was seen at the sheaf a few minutes before, and his oil can was found by it, it was concluded that he was oiling at the time. The road was 8 to 10ft. wide, 7ft. high and was well provided with manholes.
