Another haulier appears to have brought a tram down the engine plane on which they were both working in the night shift with horses. This haulier seems to have unhitched his horse from his full tram, and it collided with m empty said to have been spragged, and set it in motion; gaining in velocity it struck Hughes when he was turning the points of a double parting. Apparently there was some carelessness in securing the empty tram on the inclined road.
