Deceased and two other sinkers were engaged attending to a steam pump 40 fathoms down and stood on a scaffold. Water was being raised from the bottom by a barrel and in ascending it swung to the end and caught an iron girder knocking out a bunton which fell onto the scaffold and striking deceased he fell down among the water 30 fathoms below.
