- Details of Event
- Deceased was baring at the bottom of the coal at the fast corner of a bord bank, when, without warning a stone measuring about 4 feet square by 1 feet thick and weighing 1 ton, fell upon him and killed him. The stone came from a smooth parting and disclosed 2 slips, one of which was unforeseen. The bank was well timbered. The deputy had inspected the place about 2.5 hours before the accident happened and found all safe.
