- Details of Event
- Deceased worked alone in the quarry so there was no witness of the accident. He was seen by a passing collier, lying on the ground unable to move, about 30 yards from the face of the quarry, having evidently been able to crawl that distance. He said a stone fell from the overburden and knocked him off the ledge he was standing on. His spine was fractured and he died on 11th Mar. 1905.
