At the face of working place. Had just filled a tub when a piece of rock burst from the roof canting out two props, fall 8ft by 8ft. Timbering distance 5ft, because of liability of rock to shale off. This case shows necessity of having a distance and observing it. The props were 3ft 10in from the face, had one more prop been up probably life saved. (Good roof).
